Frank Osborne Takes Charge As Manager Again

August 1953 Bill Dodgin was relieved of his managerial duties and Frank Osborne (pictured) took charge again. Fulham ended the 1952/53 season eighth in Division Two. Bedford Jezzard scored 35 times – the second-highest total in the Club’s history and it was the start of an exciting period for the Whites. Over the next seven Second Division seasons, a total of 428 goals were scored in 210 league games, more than two a match.
